Tom’s House

Tom’s House is the first of many successful collaborations between SOS Architects and 35 Degrees, a respected Canberra-based building company known for its dedication to sustainability, craftsmanship, and client-focused construction. This project laid the foundation for an ongoing relationship that has since produced a number of thoughtfully crafted homes across Canberra and the ACT.

Located in a leafy inner suburb of Canberra, the project involved the renovation of an existing residence to improve its sense of arrival, enhance the main living spaces, and create a new studio and home office in the rear yard. The design emphasises passive solar performance, a refined approach to materials and detailing, and a sensitive response to the site and its surrounds.

With a shared passion for contextual design, sustainability and high-quality construction, SOS Architects and 35 Degrees continue to work together on residential projects across Canberra.
