Imperial House

The original Edwardian home offered enduring character, but was constrained by a poorly performing rear addition, limited amenity and a lack of connection to the garden. The project reworks the house by restoring the front rooms and replacing the rear with a carefully composed extension that opens to both the garden and pool, creating a more functional and cohesive environment for a growing family. A restrained material palette of recycled brick, natural timber and soft neutral tones reinforces a calm, contemporary character that complements the original dwelling. The result is a home that balances heritage and modern living, with a stronger sense of connection to its landscape.
